Tala om politisk diskretion från patriarkens sida att i ord och handling nöja sig med det nämnda uttalandet på ryska kyrkans hemsida när det gäller Putins presidentskap.
Att jämföras med patriark Kirills ord och resoluta handlingskraft när Putin installerades som president för fjärde gången 2018. Då fanns ingen hejd på patriarkens vilja att i ord och handling inför världens ögon visa var han står i relation till presidenten. Det fanns ingen hejd på alla vackra ord om ”andlig styrka och tro, om rättvisa, kärlek och godhet och hur presidentens och det ryska folkets andliga och kulturella traditioner sammanfaller.”
Patriark Kirill välsignade sin president och som pricken över i et överlämnade patriarken en ikon av Kristus Frälsaren till presidenten som han lät Putin kyssa……

Would he himself be willing to give the dead soldiers a funeral and explain to their wives and mothers what they died for—both Ukrainian and Russian?
